
Kathmandu : A cordial meeting and high-level discussion focusing on cultural exchange, tourism promotion, entrepreneurship development, and future international cooperation was held between Budhanilkantha Municipality and Indo Australia Sanatan Society in Kathmandu.
A delegation led by Indo Australia Sanatan Society President Yogesh Khattar paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Mitharam Adhikari and Deputy Mayor Anita Lama of Budhanilkantha Municipality on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by Mayor Mitharam Adhikari, Deputy Mayor Anita Lama, Chief Administrative Officer Ajaya Bartaula, ward representatives, officials of the Indo Australia Sanatan Society, Vice President of the Budhanilkantha Municipal Sports Development Board Deepak Tamang, and municipal staff members.

During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between Australian local governments and Budhanilkantha Municipality through the promotion of Sanatan values, cultural heritage, tourism, entrepreneurship, and civilizational exchange. The meeting also emphasized enhancing religious and cultural collaboration through future joint social and cultural initiatives.
The two parties expressed their commitment to building long-term partnerships by promoting mutual friendship, cultural relations, tourism development, and entrepreneurial cooperation.Speaking to Deputy Mayor Anita Lama shared that preliminary discussions were also held regarding the possibility of establishing a Sister City Relationship between relevant Australian local government bodies and Budhanilkantha Municipality. The proposed partnership aims to expand cooperation in the fields of culture, tourism, entrepreneurship, youth empowerment, and social development in the coming years.
